Adaptive coaching is intended to support people living with a disability to assist them in developing physically, mentally and emotionally towards better function in their day to day lives. This includes a focus on improved movement, increasing confidence in relationships and social interactions as well as planning and maintaining more useful habits that contribute towards living a purposeful life.

Individualised One to One Adaptive Coaching

  • Coaching to improve physical function and movement

  • Mentoring and social support including goal setting and habit building.

  • Strength and Conditioning training


Adaptive Group Coaching (2-4 participants)

  • Tailored programs for each individuals

  • Focus on improving physical function and movement

  • Encouraging and supporting social interaction among peers with support from a coach (support workers are welcome to participate and assist also)

  • Mentoring and social support including goal setting and habit building.


Athletes Team Coaching (5+ participants)

  • Team coaching is offered for athletes with a disability competing in a Team environment. This training is designed to assist in maintaining team unity while undertaking an adaptive program that addresses individuals needs.


Adaptive Workshops

NEXA’s adaptive workshops cover a variety of adaptive topics to provide assistance in developing competencies that enhance each individuals experience of life.

These tailored workshops develop strategies around planning and scheduling, self care, habit building, goal setting, building your team, fostering a growth mindset and much more. Workshops are conducted over a number of weeks, meeting once or twice a week.

Core Supports Budget

Core supports help you with everyday activities, your current disability-related needs and to work towards your goals. Your Core Supports budge is the most flexible, and in most cases, you can use your funding across any of the following four support categories.

  • Assistance with social & community participation

  • Assistance with daily life
